Officially Assignor Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
Officially Assignor (“Officially Assignor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with the Officially Assignor mobile app, website, and related services (the “Services”), which help officiating associations and their officials schedule events, assign officials, and manage availability.
This policy applies to everyone who uses Officially Assignor, including assignors, association administrators, and sports officials who create an account and sign in to the Services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking. The analytics we collect are first-party product analytics used only to operate and improve Officially Assignor - they are not shared with third parties for their own advertising, and are not linked with third-party data to track you across other apps or websites.
1. Information We Collect
Account information you provide
When you create and use an Officially Assignor account, we collect the information you provide, which is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase). This includes:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your physical (home and/or work) address
- your association membership and role (for example, assignor or official)
- profile, roster, availability, and account settings you configure
- events, assignments, and related scheduling activity you create or participate in
The physical address you enter is a typed mailing/location address. The app does not collect or track your device’s precise GPS location.
Usage and analytics information
We use Google Firebase / Google Analytics to understand how the app is used so we can maintain and improve it. Through this, we collect:
- an opaque user identifier - your Officially Assignor profile UUID, which lets us associate analytics with a signed-in account without exposing your name, email, or other contact details to the analytics service
- an app-instance identifier - an identifier Firebase assigns to your installation of the app
- product-interaction and usage events (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), along with basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version
Push notification device tokens
If you enable push notifications, we collect and store the push notification device token your device provides. We use it solely to deliver notifications from Officially Assignor to your device (for example, when you are assigned to an event, or an event changes).
SMS information (if you opt in)
If you separately opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent (the date, time, and the consent language shown to you). See SMS and Text Messaging below.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- create and operate your account and provide the Services
- schedule events, assign officials, and manage availability and rosters
- send account, assignment, and schedule-related notifications, including push notifications you have enabled
- verify association membership and manage roles and access
- understand product usage and maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services
- provide customer support and respond to your requests
- protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, and keep the Services secure
- comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, including maintaining records of SMS consent and opt-outs
3. Analytics and Identifiers
Our analytics are first-party product analytics. We use Google Firebase / Google Analytics to measure and improve how Officially Assignor works. The opaque user identifier (your profile UUID) and the app-instance identifier let us understand usage on a per-account and per-installation basis.
We do not use these identifiers or any analytics data to advertise to you, to build advertising profiles, or to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not share this data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. Because we do not use data to track you across apps or services owned by other companies, the app does not use App Tracking Transparency to request tracking permission.
4. Push Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications about your assignments, schedule changes, and account activity. You can turn push notifications off at any time in your device settings; if you do, we will stop sending them to that device. Disabling notifications does not delete your account or stop other parts of the Services from working.
5. SMS and Text Messaging
Text messaging is optional and separate from your general use of the app. If you opt in from your profile, we use your mobile number solely to send transactional notifications - such as event assignments, schedule changes, cancellations, upcoming-event reminders, and verification codes. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. For full details, see our Messaging Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms & Conditions.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Services, and only as needed to perform services for us. These include:
- Supabase - database and account infrastructure that stores your account data
- Google Firebase / Google Analytics - first-party product analytics and push-notification delivery
- telecommunications and messaging providers that deliver SMS you have opted in to receive
- hosting, security, and support providers required to run the Services
These providers may only process information as necessary to provide services to us and may not use it for their own advertising or marketing purposes. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a governmental request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Officially Assignor, our users, or others.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Access to the app is protected by sign-in, and supported devices may add Face ID / Touch ID unlock. No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with our legal obligations. SMS consent records may be retained for up to 24 months after you opt out or close your account in order to honor opt-out requests and maintain proof of consent. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- access, correct, or update most account information from within the app
- turn push notifications on or off in your device settings
- opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
- request that we access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us
To make a data request or ask a question about this policy, email support.assignor@officially.pro.
10. Children’s Privacy
Officially Assignor is intended for assignors, association administrators, and sports officials, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the revised policy, except where additional consent is required by law.
